Millstones, or mill stones, are hand shaped stones used in 19th century grist mills, for grinding wheat or other grains.

When mounted on its custom made display stand, the mill stone becomes a true example of primitive American folk art - reminiscent of elegant Oriental designs. Lovely, undamaged condition and VERY stable on its metal display base.

When the stone was placed in an outdoor setting, it developed a beautiful, velvety green color. See photos #4 #5 for garden photos.

Local pick up in the Berkshires of Massachusetts or shipping within 50 miles of Great Barrington can be arranged. Or commercial shipping which the buyer can arrange. The good news is that the stone lifts off of the base - making pick up or delivery easier.
