4 inches x 2.5 inches x .25 inches - WEIGHT: 2 oz.
During WWII, most metals were reserved for the war effort. Costume jewelry designers turned to wood and produced some great designs such as this large bucking bronco brooch.
The horse and rider appear to be hand carved and hand painted. The reins and lasso are separately attached details as is the glass eye. (My question is how can a commercial company produce enough hand carved pieces of this quality be profitable?)
No damages. No repairs. All original. The pin back is the early 1930's style.
P.S. Other wooden horse brooches to be listed shortly.
