TOTAL WEIGHT: 78.19 grams - DIAMETER of central medallion: 2" - (3) Large Cabochon AMETHYSTS: 10 mm each - (10) Small Cabochon AMETHYSTS: 5mm each- OPENING at the back of Cuff: 1 1/4"
This bracelet dates to 1950's, Taxco. It is clearly marked as "Mexican Silver" - not "sterling" or "925," which would be later marks.
The design of this cuff is clearly a copy of a similar design produced by Wm. Spratling, also in the 1950's. Such copies of the designs of the Golden Age silversmiths were common in Mexico during the 1950's - 1960's. The copies were usually produced by smaller silver studios also located in Taxco.
