A large Mid Century wall art plaque in high relief plaster or chalkware. It measures 35 by 15-3/4 inches. The scene is a wind-twisted cedar tree on a rocky lake shoreline or ocean beach. Two white sailboats with seagulls flying above are visible in the far right background. The colors are primarily shades of greens and golds with white.
The plaque is sculpted in high relief, extending about 3-1/2 inches from the wall at the high points of the tree. The metallic paint is slightly glossy which makes the scene look a little different at various times of day, depending on how the sun hits it. There are no chips, flakes, or damage to the front or sides at all. The back has a shallow nick to one corner. The other white spots at the back are just unpainted areas of the plaster. Two wire hangers are embedded in the back for hanging. Unfortunately, my pictures don't do the wall art justice. It's really dramatic and beautiful in person.
If you're concerned about shipping safety, I've wrapped the plaque in lots of heavy bubble wrap and paper, then encased the entire thing inside 2 sheets of 3/4 inch thick rigid foam insulation, which is sturdier and stronger than Styrofoam.
