A very scarce pre-1920 clear glass figural Christmas light bulb from Germany. It's identified in one of my books as a "Hornblower". My Christmas Lighting book doesn't even list this bulb. It's a little less than 3-1/4" high and looks like a girl or woman blowing a horn to me, wearing a long flowing robe with wide flared choir-robe type sleeves and a yellow-banded cloche style cap. There is a straight yellow ruffle at the neck, similar to a clown ruffle, though nothing else about her suggests she's a clown.
The bulb is clearly marked Germany at the metal base. It does not light up. There's a little paint wear as you can see, though it's less than you'd expect for this type and age of light bulb.
