This is a 1960s Japan miniature porcelain ceramic pixie-like devil figurine, just 1-1/2 inches high. He's holding a brass pitchfork and has his other hand raised in a wave. A tiny paper Japan label is still attached to the bottom.
The devil figure has the type of minor paint and molding flaws common to Mid Century mass produced dimestore ceramics from Japan, such as uneven flesh tones and one eye bigger than the other. There are some small scratches to the cold red paint as shown. Keep in mind that the photos are greatly enlarged and the wear isn't nearly as noticeable in reality. I've shown a quarter in the last picture for scale.
