Indian Chief and Drum Pottery Salt and Pepper ShakersIndian Chief and Drum Pottery Salt and Pepper ShakersIndian Chief and Drum Pottery Salt and Pepper Shakers

These 1930s figural souvenir salt and pepper shakers aren't marked but they look American made. One is an Indian chief in full feathered headdress, sitting cross legged and holding a peace pipe. The other shaker is a buckskin covered drum with a decal on the top reading "Souvenir of The Pagoda, Reading Pa.". It's a little puzzling how the Native American theme relates to the historic Japanese style Pagoda building, but souvenir items are often incongruous.

The Chief is 3-1/4" tall, the drum 1-5/8". Both pieces are missing their cork stoppers but are otherwise in good vintage condition with no damage.
