This Goofus Glass bowl is in the Narcissus Spray pattern by Indiana Glass Company circa 1918. The pressed glass intaglio floral pattern is brought out beautifully by the cold painted red and gold Goofus decoration. The bowl measures 9-1/4" diameter by 3 inches deep. There are no chips, flakes, or cracks and the original paint is still in excellent condition, 90 percent or more intact. The large white spots in my photos are glare from my photography lights.
I'm including a bonus Goofus Glass bowl, 6-3/4" diameter by 2 inches deep. It is a variation of the 1911 Carnation pattern by Lancaster Glass with a crest or shield in the center framing the initials FHJ. Obviously some sort or advertising or commemorative piece, though I haven't discovered who or what the bowl was made to commemorate. There is considerable loss of paint as shown and a chip on the ringed foot, practically impossible to see unless the bowl is picked up and turned over. Still, an unusual design which may be of interest to Goofus collectors.
