An assortment of vintage blown glass bird Christmas ornaments, ranging from modern to 1930s production. Four are clip-ons, all but one have tails - spun glass fibers, feather, or tinsel. Most were made in Germany or West Germany, a couple may be Czech.
The pretty gold and purple bird with feather tail was made by Old World Christmas. The tail feathers are a little worn. Three birds have no clips, and one of these has no tail. I hang clipless bird ornaments on my tree by wrapping some thin tinsel garland or gold braid around their necks and bodies in a cradle, ending with a knotted hanging loop at the top. The two oldest birds have some mild finish wear and inner silvering loss as shown.
