Though cut into 2 sections, you can still read the printing between the panels of this 1930s tinted muslin Bavarian couple stamped for embroidery set. It says "3 Piece Buffet Set Made by Vogart". I'm not sure if it's for a towel and 2 pot holders, or a placemat and two napkins. The two individual squares, designed to be cut apart, are 9 by 12 inches each (measuring the cutting lines, not the entire piece of fabric). The larger piece is 18" by 11".
The design depicts a Bavarian Alps man and woman in full costume with mountains, flowers, pine trees, and a cottage in the background. The larger panel has been partially embroidered, the other with the two smaller squares is untouched. No stains or damage.
