This cute 1940s clown shaped child's feeding dish was made for Hankscraft by Red Wing Pottery. The clown's head is actually a stopper, so you can fill the dish with hot water to keep baby's food warm. The body has three divided sections. The underside is marked Hankscraft U.S.A. with the curved underline that was exclusive to Redwing-made Hankscraft items (other pottery companies made items for them too, though the others usually aren't marked at all).
The cork around the clown head stopper has a little wear but it still fits securely. Otherwise the dish is in excellent condition with no damage, crazing, or wear. If you're buying for a little boy, I do have this same dish in blue.
