This 1940s pottery cookie jar was made by American Bisque. It's shaped like a campfire style coffee pot, complete with swinging metal wire handle. The front has an anthropomorphic cup of coffee, three cookies, and the word Cookies embossed in raised relief. The cookie jar measures 9-1/2 inches high to the lid finial by about 7-1/2" diameter at the base. There is slight crazing of the glaze at the back of the jar and at the inside bottom (none on the front for some reason) and a small nick below the hole for the wire handle (last photo).
