A lovely, old fashioned angel scrap Christmas tree top made by National Tinsel in the 1940s. It's about 8 inches diameter, with a paper scrap angel face. She has gold foil scrap wings and is surrounded by four gold foil stars.
The litho paper angel face is a little distorted, almost wrinkled, as shown - this is from the glue used on the back and is quite common. The curly angel hair cloud is lush and full, and the spun glass fibers are in good shape with very little thinning or fiber loss. The embossed gold foil wings have no tears. The original box is missing the cellophane window but is intact.
