In the late 1940s to very early 1950s, Western Germany glass ornament producers favored earth tone colored ornaments in brick, rust, amber, and very dark (almost black) green. I'm not sure why as those colors didn't catch on in America until the mid to late 1960s. These ten silvered West German blown glass ornaments are from that era. Four are 2-1/2" diameter, decorated with white mica glitter starbursts and dots. The other six ornaments are smaller, about 2 inches, and have mica glitter squiggle line decoration. There are no chips or breaks but most have significant glitter wear.
