This Mid Century hammered brass box was made by Gregorian Company. They mostly made copper items, but dabbled in brass in their early years. It's sized to hold either cigarettes or playing cards, measuring 7 by 3-3/4 inches (one inch deep). The brass has a geometric squares hammered pattern and is decorated with a double scroll motif on the lid. It needs polishing and cleaning but has no dents or dings. The bottom has some contact scuffing. The underside is engraved Gregorian Hand Hammered with an unreadable stock number.
