This Native American beaded belt buckle was purchased at the Fort Hall Bannock Shoshone Indian reservation in Idaho in the late 1980s or early 1990s. The orange and red flower is the Shoshone Rose. The buckle measures 4-3/8 by 3 inches and is backed with soft deerskin.
The beads are completely intact with none loose or missing. The buckle loop at the back is broken off however. You can repair it by cutting a slit in the leather back and replacing the damaged buckle blank with a new one, then whip stitching the slit closed.
