I love vintage wicker handbags - they bring back memories of my very first grown-up purse, purchased with babysitting money. This one is lovely goldenrod yellow color, perfect for spring and summer, with black vinyl handles and trim accented with white decorative topstitching. The feet, brads, and clasp hardware are bright goldtone. It measures 12 inches across the bottom by 9 inches high. The handles rise about 5-1/2 inches above the top.
The interior cotton canvas fabric lining is black with red and white polka dots. A zippered pocket divides the purse at the center. One wall has another zippered pocket, the other has double patch pockets, one wide and flat, the other narrow and gusseted. There is no tag or label.
The handbag has been well cared for and is in very good, gently used condition. The lining has no tears or stains, but the dark coloring shows a little lint in the bottom. The woven rattan wicker has two tiny side-by-side puncture breaks at the front between the clasp and the right side handle (shown in closeup, photo number four). The third picture shows some minor rub wear to two strands at the left edge where the coloring has worn off a bit. There's another smaller area like this at the far lower right side.
