This 1960s silvered blown glass Christmas ornament from West Germany is quite large at 5-1/2 inches high by 4 inches wide. That's a quarter in the last picture, to give you an idea of the size. It's almost mushroom shaped, flared at the bottom with a ball finial or stem. Three ribbed indent "eyes" encircle the lower base below the recessed ribs.
The ribs are tinted red and yellow, the top and lower sides between the indents are tinted bright peacock blue decorated with white mica squiggle lines. About 50 percent of the mica has worn off, otherwise the ornament is in excellent, shiny condition with no damage. The shine of the bright silver coloring picked up reflections and colors in the room when the pictures were taken.
