These American made silvered glass 3 inch bell shape Christmas ornaments were made just before the US entered World War II, around 1940 or 1941. One is pink, the other teal green. They're decorated with painted comma-stroke flowers on two sides with colored stripes above and below.
The painted decoration has the appearance of being coated in white mica glitter, but it's actually Venetian Dew (a type of glitter made from tiny round clear beads). The metal caps are marked Made In U.S. of A. Production of metal ornament caps stopped during the war, and when production resumed the word "of" was dropped. The bells have some minor, expected wear to the decoration but are otherwise in excellent condition for being 75 years old.
