This vintage tooled leather purse is a real cowgirl bag - there's a hand tooled scene of a cowgirl on horseback on the back side. The front has tooled roses and the name Debbie spelled out in embossed metal letters on the bottom. The closure strap has an unusual sterling silver tip with an applied bronze cowgirl very similar to the equestrian scene on the back of the purse. The arrowhead shape strap tip is marked Diablo Sterling. The strap slide isn't marked that I can see but it may be sterling as well.
The purse interior is fully lined in leather suede. There's a zippered center pocket and patch pockets on both inside walls. Height is about 14 inches to the top of the handles, width is 13 inches, and depth front to back at the bottom is 5 inches. The purse has no tears or loose stitching but the the leather has considerable wear and is quite dry as you can see. I believe the name letters can be removed, they appear to be attached with prongs, not glue.
