These six glass Christmas ornaments are unsilvered, produced during the 1940s World War II years. Silver nitrate was available only for military use, so ornament manufacturers had to use painted, flashed, and sprayed on non-metallic finishes until the war ended.
The ornaments are just over 2 inches to 2-1/2 inches diameter. The yellow, green, and blue with stripes and painted flowers were made by Premier Glass Works. The other three are clear with painted flower petals and leaves in red, pink, green, and blue. I'm not sure who made them - the metal caps are marked simply Made in U.S. of A. There's a little paint wear as shown, not bad, no chips or breaks.
