A box of one dozen brightly colored unsilvered glass ball Christmas ornaments from the 1940s World War II years when silvering agents were only available for military use. They're 2 to 2-1/4 inches diameter, all but one decorated with painted or mica glitter rings or stripes.
Seven are Shiny Brite ornaments including the opaque blue and white stenciled ornament with holly, bell, and Christmas Greetings decoration. There is some flaking to the painted stripes as shown and the stenciled ornament has considerable finish loss around the lower half. No chips or breaks. The box is marked on the bottom "Paper Novelty Glass Corporation, Stamford Conn.". It's in good condition other than the missing cellophane window. I don't know if the box is original to any of the ornaments.
