My pictures aren't the greatest, but this 1950s planter base table lamp is quite handsome with its wooden stem and base finished in black, ivory, and pale green zig zag flame stripes. It has a laced fiberglass trapezoid shade with gold squiggle string decoration and a classic amber glass ball finial.
The lamp is about 27 inches high to the top of the finial. The interior of the planter box is lined with strips of sheet metal and measures 13-1/2 by 8-1/2 by 4 inches deep. The planter is partially filled with rocks for the photos but they will not be included as it would add considerably to the shipping cost.
The retro shade is 10-1/4" high and measures 16 by 10 inches at the bottom, 12-1/4 by 6-1/4 inches at the top. The 5-1/2 foot cord is in good shape with no splits or brittleness. The white Catalin type plug of course has the old fashioned type non-polarized prongs. The lamp works well and has no damage, just some old water and soil sediment clinging to the metal planter box lining.
