This silvered figural glass Christmas ornament was made in West Germany in the 1950s. It's called Peasant Woman with a Carrot and Spoon in Lightner's Christmas Rarities book (the one in the book is from the late 1930s but the same mold).
The ornament is 4 inches high and nicely decorated with bright pink scarf, sleeve cuffs, and skirt. The spoon and carrot are gold or yellow, the carrot top green, and the woman's face is painted a light flesh color. There's a little wear to the gel pink finish of the skirt, otherwise the ornament is in excellent condition. The metal cap is marked West Germany. Book price for this 1950s version is $100 to $125.
