An attractive 2-1/2 quart covered ceramic casserole by Hall China in Chinese Red with white handles and lid finial. I believe it to be part of the Pert line, introduced in 1941. It measures nearly 10 inches wide across the handles, 7 inches diameter at the rim, 4 inches deep to the rim (not including height of the lid).

The casserole is in amazing near mint condition, used very little if at all. The white interior is shiny and spotlessly clean with no stains or scratches. The red finish still has its factory gloss. There is one tiny, thin and shallow 1/8 of an inch shallow scratch line to the glaze on one side near the handle, barely noticeable, otherwise the finish is perfect. The unglazed bottoms of these older casseroles frequently show staining but this one is very clean with only minor scuff marks along the outside ring from storage and shelf wear.
