A dozen fragile and pretty antique feather tree size glass Christmas ornaments in mostly organic shapes, just 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 inches high. They date from the Victorian era to the early 1930s. All were made in Germany and they come in a period pastel shaded manila German covered box.
Shapes include fruits, berries, flowers, and pods or nuts plus a beaded paneled bell. Four are unsilvered (Victorian era): the pale green bumpy berry, the red strawberry, the little orange, and the peach ornament with fine ground glass glitter. The very dark green flower bud ornament looks black until the light hits it just right.
The ornaments are in very good condition considering most are about a hundred years old. There is expected minor finish wear to some, clearly shown in the photos. The silvered blue berry cluster has silvering loss and a tiny hole in one side seam. This ornament also has a narrow pike chip visible just below the metal cap. The bumpy gold paneled bell also has a pike chip sliver. All caps fit properly and the ornaments hang on the tree just fine. The box and lid are intact and in good condition.
