This wonderful and very scarce vintage cotton muslin fabric flour sack once held 25 pounds of Bannock Chief Flour from the Pocatello Flour Mills of Pocatello, Idaho. The center graphic is the head of an Indian in full feathered headdress, 8-1/2 inches diameter. Exact age unknown but there is no zip code on the bag and Pocatello Flour Mills is no longer in business.
The 13 by 25-3/4 inch sack is complete and uncut with side stitching intact and needle holes at the top. If you reach inside and feel to the bottom of the bag, you'll find there's still flour dust inside . The bag has never been washed or laundered. The color intensity and hues are accurate on my monitor (if not a little light) but of course what you see may be different. The bag is in very good condition though it has a slight musty, linen-closet smell. The front side has no stains or soiling. The back has very light soiling, mainly a narrow black scuff to the far right edge.
