This late 1940s glass Santa Claus candy container is a little over 6 inches high. Santa's clear glass bottle body was left transparent to show the candy inside, though the arms, belt and boots were originally painted. The black boot paint still remains. The container has a threaded neck on which the plastic Santa Head cap screws on. The inside of the cap is marked "Mfd. By J.H. Millstein Co. Jeannette Pa., Pat. App. For". The glass has no chips or flakes. The glass is dark, probably from the black paint. I didn't try to clean it for fear of losing the remaining cold paint.
