This 6 inch silverplate soup or gumbo spoon was used in Union Pacific railroad dining cars. The pattern is called Savoy, which was the pattern for the Challenger locomotives, built from 1936 to 1943. The back of the handle tip is engraved in script U.P.R.R. The maker's mark reads "Victor S. Co. A1 + Overlay IS Triple". The IS is for International Silver. In good condition with light use wear, no plate loss.
