Two boxes of Sparkle Brite extra long tinsel icicles for the Christmas tree from the 1950s. It's the real metal crinkly foil type, not the old heavy lead type, but not the modern plastic or cellophane tinsel either. According to the box, the tinsel is corrugated to reflect more light.
The 3/4 pound boxes contain 72 strands, each 18 inches long. Though the boxes have light storage wear as shown, the tinsel inside looks unused. Manufactured by Standard Cellulose Novelty Co. of Richmond Hill New York.
