This type of wired beaded Christmas ornament was made in Japan from the 1920s to 1950s. It's in the shape of a house, about 3 inches wide by 2-1/2 inches high. The roof and walls are made of tiny fused silver mercury glass beads wired into place. A red Japan silvered glass ornament dangles from the center. There is one scratch to the red paint of the ball ornament near the top and some of the silver beads have normal age darkening, otherwise the ornament is in good vintage condition with no broken or chipped beads.
