This blue opaline glass covered picnic basket dish was made in France by Portieux. I'm not sure of the date as Portieux/Vallerysthal history is confusing to me, but it was made sometime between the early 1900s and the 1930s. It's 5 by 3-1/4 inches across the rim by about 5-1/4" high to the top of the basket handle. The dish and lid are both in excellent condition with no chips, hairlines, or cracks. There is some normal, minor mold line roughness along the edge of the lid. The inside bottom is marked Portieux.
