Blue Noma Glo Star Lighted Lucite Christmas Tree Topper
This is the larger Christmas tree top version of Noma's Glo-Star Lucite plastic light reflector. Glolite Glo-Stars, originally made by another company and later sold to Noma, were individual or single layer 5-point transparent plastic star collars for Christmas light bulbs, popular in the 1950s. This much more uncommon tree top star is a double layer star, transparent blue and clear Lucite, 4-3/4 inches diameter. They were designed to be used with the buyer's existing C-7 type light strings but this one comes with a 3 foot single socket cord. The center star opening is marked with a patent number that dates to 1949.
You can change the coloring of the clear outer star by changing the color of the bulb, or even switch out the center star for another color if you have extra star reflectors. The photos show the different effects when you change the color of the light bulb. The stars and cord are in good vintage condition with no chips or damage.
