This chromed steel electric lighted star Christmas tree top decoration was the first type patented by Noma in 1924. Five C-6 type light bulbs fit into the Bakelite sockets to form the star points. The center is embossed with the phrase A Merry Christmas. The pigtail plug at the end of the silk-wrapped cord is designed to screw into the end socket of a C6 light string.
The star measures 6-1/2 inches wide by 7-1/2 inches long including the clothespin type clamp at the bottom. The back of the metal star has some oxidation to the chrome as shown in the closeup photos, as well as corrosion on the clamp. The star lights up fine as you can see. The white bulbs are GE, not Mazda as stated on the box - the bulbs were no doubt replaced at some point over the last 90 years. The box is miraculously good condition for its age with no splits, tears, or excessive wear. The insert with printed directions has damage ro the raised point holders.
