This Napco ceramic Christmas shopper girl figurine is dated 1956. She's just over 5 inches tall with blonde hair in a ponytail and wears a long red full-skirt dress that flounces up at one side to show her ruffled petticoats. The hemline is trimmed with spaghetti fur. She has a drawstring purse at her side and holds wrapped presents. One hand should be holding a chained animal, parasol, or something similar but whatever it was is missing. You can put a little brush tree or tinsel spray there, whatever you want.
The Christmas girl has virtually perfect paint and gold trim. I cannot find any scratches or paint wear. I've examined the spaghetti fur trim closely and see no nicks, breaks, or flakes. She is clean and in excellent condition. The bottom is numbered S16973 and stamped ©Napco 1956 as well as having the original foil label reading "National Potteries Co. Cleveland O. Made in Japan". All white spots in the photos are from glare and reflections. For some reason the yellow and green colors in the photos look washed out - they're brighter in person.
