This vintage Silver Glow aluminum Christmas tree is from the late 1950s to early 1960s, made by United States Silver Tree Company, made with Reynolds aluminum. It's complete in its original box with silver painted wooden poles (two that screw together) and tripod-type 3 legged metal tree stand. It has 55 straight-tip 23 inch long branches and is 6-1/2 feet tall when put together.
All of the branches are present with the paper sleeves in good condition. The branches are in great condition as well with little if any of the needle frazzling that sometimes occurs with age and use, though a few have typical minor loosening of the tape securing the lower ends of the tinsel. The one exception is to the "King Branch" which goes at the top of the tree. It is missing some tinsel at the tip and has a bit of rust to the metal post.
The wooden pole trunk has no stripped or damaged holes and the silver paint is good. The paper assembly instruction sheet is present and intact. The stand works fine but is kind of flimsy and light weight. The box has typical age discoloration and storage wear but is intact. From the condition of the sleeves and all but the one branch, I'll bet the tree wasn't put up more than a couple of times. See my other items for a tree skirt, color wheel, and plastic ornaments to complete the retro Christmas look.
