These 1950s ceramic salt and pepper shakers were made in Japan by Wales. They are a colorfully dressed sitting Native American Indian couple, 4-1/4 inches high. The girl's hand is outstretched and there's a flat cradle space on her lap - perhaps she held a small condiment jar or a smaller shaker there, perhaps a drum. A loop at the back of the brave's headband will hold a feather if you have one. The shakers are skillfully painted and in excellent condition with no damage, cork stoppers and foil label intact.
