This wire wrapped blown glass Christmas tree top spire ornament was made in West Germany in the 1950s. It's 11-1/2 inches tall and has a long silver tinsel tassel dangling from the top. The center bulb is entirely coated in white mica glitter, a fancy star flower embossed indent at the center tinted in pastel colors of pink, green, and yellow. The center section is wrapped in crinkled wire, a few mercury glass beads are threaded through the wires. There were probably more beads originally but a couple of the wires are snapped, which may have caused the beads to fall off.
The tree topper has some typical loss to the inner silvering at the bottom opening from contact with Christmas tree needles, and there's some light rub wear from the wires at the back. There are no chips or breaks.
