This 1950s ivory colored hard plastic lighted musical church Christmas display was made by Raylite Electric Corp., a division of Paramount. It comes in its original box which is labeled Paramount, No. 177 MC, Illuminated Musical Cathedral. It stands about 13 inches high to the top of the steeple and is 7-1/4 by 5-1/2 inches at the base. The stained glass windows of the church light up nicely when plugged in. A music box plays Silent Night when the key at the back is wound.
The church is in very nice, clean condition with no chips or damage. The light and music box are working properly. It's marked at the back "Manufactured By Raylite Electric Corp, New York NY". The nearly 4-foot long socket cord and plug are in good condition with no issues. The cord has a dial type on/off switch - it's probably not the original cord though it does have the correct bulb fitting which inserts into the back of the church. The box has some writing on the front and some normal storage wear but is intact with no splits or tears.
You can put together a very nice holiday display using this church as the focal point, using angel hair or cotton snow, miniature lights, angel figures or other buildings - whatever you like.
