I am not sure if this unusual German glass Christmas ornament was made pre-war or post war - it would date to either just before 1940 or right after, late 1940s Western Germany. A blown glass flower indent round ornament is wrapped in thin crinkled wire and framed in a light brown chenille star. Extending from the pike at the bottom of the ornament is a 3-3/4 inch comet tail made of spun glass fibers. Overall length is about 7 inches. The silvered glass ornament is green with a red tinted center flower indent. There is some finish wear to the back of the ornament, rub wear from the wires, and several wires are broken or loose.
