This box of six cute decorated honeycomb paper Santa Claus and snowmen Christmas ornaments was made in Japan in the 1950s to early 1960s. Each charming figure is about 4 inches high, decorated with glitter, paper eyes, and a lacquered red berry nose. The two snowmen carry chenille canes, the four Santas have a mercury glass bead button on their suits. Each has a gold cord for hanging on the tree with the original foil label still attached.
The ornaments are in excellent condition, two have a little crushing of the paper that appears to be from manufacture, not wear. They came in the plain box shown in the 2nd photo. I'm not sure if it's original but the side label says "Article 1701, Quantity 6 Pcs, Made in Japan".
