This lovely Westmoreland Lotus glass mayonnaise bowl and underplate set is in the unusual color combination of frosted green plate and clear satinized bowl with cased yellow base. Lotus was made from the early 1920s to the 1980s so it can be hard to date but based on my research of the various colors and finishes, this set likely dates to the 1930s or 1940s.
The seven-point plate is 7 inches across. The bowl is about 4 inches diameter by 2-1/2 inches high. There are some minor, very faint marks to the glaze in the bottom of the bowl from a spoon or ladle, otherwise both pieces are in perfect condition. The mayo is pretty enough to use as a decorator piece or table centerpiece for springtime or any time of year.
