This large free blown mercury glass stork was found carefully wrapped with antique Christmas ornaments, though of course it can be displayed all year. It was made in Germany in the 1920s to early 1930s and stands 6 inches tall. There are no chips or breaks but you can see that the orange beak and leg paint has some wear. The inner mercury silvering has turned a pearly white color. This is from normal age degradation and air exposure and is perfectly normal. The coloring looks natural and is not spotty or dark.
