Absolutely gorgeous antique French Belle Epoque era sterling silver 4pc open salt set with ornate rococo styling, original shaped & cut cobalt glass inserts and all in wonderful condition! Aren't these wonderful! A set of four, perfect to be spaced over your opulently appointed dining table or as personal salts at each sitter's plate side. Louis XVI or rococo styling with scrolled foliate or acanthus and floral accenting and all four have the original shaped and wheel cut cobalt glass inserts. All four bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks, tiny as they are, are legible and most likely for Jules Bouvier, Paris circa 1890. A lovely set, don't miss them!
Very good condition. Some tarnish visible in the recesses of the ornate decoration but no dents, damage or repairs to note. Possibly a tiny nip or two to the cobalt glass inserts but no chips, cracks or other damage. See pictures for weight and measurements.
