Absolutely gorgeous & rare complete original 4pc set: antique French sterling silver tete-a-tete, solitaire or bachelor's sized coffee and/or tea service with coffee or warm milk pot, tea pot, covered sugar and creamer with amphora shaped bodies, cabriole style acanthus & lion's paw feet and figural spouts! A lovely service for one or two, these are about half the size of normal French sterling silver service and meant to hold enough for two. All of the elegance and it seems these smaller sizes have quite a following, highly collectible and fabulous decorative accents. Of course, there's just about every morning that's perfect for spoiling yourself or you and your partner. All pieces bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmarks, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're all in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks are for Auguste Guyot, 21 rue Chapon, Paris circa 1903-1913. A beautiful ensemble, don't miss them!
Very good to excellent condition. It looks like each of the solid mahogany or rosewood handles has an old repaired break but they're solid. The has a small dent on one side, near the top foliate portion of a leg. No other bends, breaks, damage or repairs to note. See pictures for individual weights and measurements.
