We've recently acquired quite a collection of antique and early 1900s vintage purses, evening bags, and with Opera Season and Holidays fast approaching, it's the perfect time to get them listed. They're MAHrvelous for your evening attire accents, so much more like jewelry really, than a purse, and yet they'll hold your evening's necessities and do it in high glam fashion. Whether you pick one that matches your gown or outfit, or just want one to display in your own collection, on a table top, or in your big fabulous walk-in closet, any of the bags we're offering will thrill you now and for generations to come. I'm going to describe them only briefly here, as our photos tell you most of what you really need to know. We hope you'll enjoy finding that perfect purse for a gift, for an evening out, for the most sophisticated collector's stash, or for the Bride's 'something old'. These are a great idea for Bridesmaids' memento gift, too. Aren't they fabulous!
This Purse: A masterpiece of 1mm microbeads, in a fabulous palette of colors, deep cobalt blue being the primary one! Tiny 1mm colored glass microbeads in silver with cobalt blue background, and floral colors combining to create the stunning floral design and beaded tassel trim. This bag is in fine condition, as shown, with the body of the beadwork bag being as excellent as they come, but you may want to re-line the interior if you want to use it a lot, as there are some tatters to the old silk. No bead loss at all. Double draw-string beaded handles are both in fine shape, too. C. 1860 - 1900 at latest.
