Well, because I remember when I could not afford the complete or grand sets, I like to stock some more affordable beauties so that we can all enjoy antiques at the table, and here is just one such. The old French enameled glassware set is just gorgeous to see, to use, but it's a partial set so very affordable, as well. In Paris, the little cordial cups like this run between 6-15 euro each (up to $20 range, essentially), and the more enameled, the higher they go. And a small enameled decanter, which they still love to use for individual water or wine service at table) is usually tough to find for under 100 euro in this quality. So finding the little set here at a price which translates to roughly $225 US seemed like just the perfect thing for someone like I used to be while raising my young sons - budget-bound. I know of no other way to say this than that it was that 'me' who fell in love with this set. I hope there is someone else out there who will also appreciate it for the deal it is, and treasure and enjoy it.
Very good condition for age and type, with a couple of notations: Part of a larger set, missing the decanter's stopper entirely and there is a nip to a rim on one of the little cups. So think of this as a service to use for liqueur or aperitif for 4 people, with a 5th tucked away just in case (you can have that roughness on rim polished out by a glass restorer, by the way). One of the prettiest sets we've seen - lovely old hand enameled and mouth-blown French glasswares.
