Gorgeous antique Russian Nicholas II era hallmarked .875 (nearly sterling) silver 10pc demitasse sized teaspoon set, gold or vermeil & silver with Niello style decoration and wonderful visual appeal! Not quite at the .925 standard for "sterling" silver but these bear the "84" zolotnik mark which means they're at least .875, or 87.5%, pure silver and basically the norm for antique Russian silver pieces. The cyrillic letters BC above the date are for "Viktor Savinkov", Moscow assayer from 1856-1887. All are gilded or vermeil which is a thin layer of gold over the silver. The decoration is not actual niello but is formed by the etching through the gold that reveals the silver underneath. Beautifully done, the decoration is on both sides of the handle and backs of the bowls. A lovely set, don't miss them.
Good-very good condition. No damage or repairs to note, the only flaw is some wear to the vermeil finish. See pictures for weight and measurements.
