Just love the old hand carved wood elements for walls, building into cabinet fronts, etc., and this one is a very interesting one that's mounted on a framework of wrought iron. The Neo-renaissance feel to it makes me unsure if it's an Italian piece but the dark rather rough wood feels like Black Forest, too. I'm going to say early 1900s on this one, but it could easily be earlier. Ready to hang. This is 15" high, 9.5" widest and 1 5/8" deep, wonderful acanthus carved along with the figure.
Very good to excellent condition, I find no chips or note and no cracks or breaks. Hand carved and a charming accent just as it is.
