Lenox dinner plates, set of 5 - 10.25" (10 3/8") diameters.
American made: Ceramic Art Co. ( Lenox) Trenton, N. J. Established 1889.
marked 1830/A-391-B, Green Lenox mark, raised gold enamel on cobalt blue
A superb old vintage Lenox pattern that is opulently overpainted in raised gold enamel, encrusted in gold as well. The background color is a deep cobalt blue, and the 5 plates are all in excellent condition. I wish I had 12 of these, or more. Alas, there are just 5. Dinner party formal elegance for you, your husband, your favorite couple of friends (and a spare). Sometimes the small table full is the very richest, isn't it. A bargain at $300 a plate, these raised gold enameled beauties are $500 - $3000 a plate if you buy them new.
Very good to excellent for age and type, considered vintage and used, they are spectacular. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines - I find no damage at all to disclose. Just 5 exquisite vintage plates. I wasn't able to find the date of origin for this Lenox pattern. If you know it, please email. If you have more of these, please email us, too. Thanks.
