Individually carved flowers and leaves linked together with gold wires, and mounted as a stunning bouquet brooch, 15k yellow gold mounting used. The natural coral stem to which all is mounted is a full 2.5" long, making this a superb statement when worn. Look at the fine detail in our images - elegantly carved flowers and buds, leaves. Hinged pin, typical of the carved brooches just like this one that are on display in the Victoria and Albert Museum and the British Museum in London. The date theirs to c. 1830-50. I think that's accurate for this one, as well.
Very good to excellent for age and type. We can see a thin 15k gold stem or two that no longer have their blossom or leaf, so very minor loss that one might expect for age. There might also be very tiny nip to end to leaf here or there, though your inspection of our enlarged photos shows you it's a very fine quality piece with almost no flaws notable. Hinged clasp, and gold has been acid tested.
